SUMMER 2012 JOB OPENINGS: 


 

SREC Elementary Programs – Program Leader (15) $10.40/hr 6/11/2012 – 7/27/2012

Seasonal employment: Week of June 11, up to 40 hours/week. Weeks of June 18-July 23, up to 25 hours/week. Monday-Friday, ~11:30 am-4:30 pm. Positions available at Allis, Chavez, Hawthorne, Huegel, Leopold, Marquette, Mendota and Van Hise Elementary Schools Plan and lead recreation and enrichment activities for elementary-age children at school sites. Supervise indoor and outdoor activities and field trips. Work as a team with other program staff to carry out responsibilities. Interact with parents as needed. Prior experience working with children required, preferably from diverse backgrounds. Must have proven dependability, teamwork, leadership skills, flexibility and enthusiasm to participate in all aspects of program. Prior experience working with elementary age children desired. Experience planning and leading activities. Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong a plus. Must attend mandatory paid training the week of 6/11/2012. Accommodations may be made for staff working MMSD Summer School. Experience inventory on application website must be completed.
